What is Toolember?

Toolember is a growing collection of free, browser-based utility tools built for everyday tasks. No sign-up, no app to install, no account required, just open a tool and use it.

We cover calculators, converters, generators, developer utilities, and more. Every tool is designed to work instantly on desktop and mobile.

Who is behind Toolember

Toolember is an independent project, built and maintained by a solo developer rather than a large company. It started from a simple frustration: needing a quick calculator or converter and landing on a page buried in pop-ups, sign-up walls, and trackers. The goal here is the opposite, a small, fast, honest toolkit that respects your time and your data.

Because one person maintains it, feedback goes a long way. If a result looks wrong, a formula needs a source, or a tool is missing, email [email protected] and it gets read.

How we build and verify our tools

Accuracy matters, especially for the finance and health tools. Here is how we try to earn your trust:

• Standard formulas, stated openly. Each calculator uses an established formula (for example Mifflin-St Jeor for calories, standard amortization for loans) and names it on the tool page, so you can check the method, not just the number.
• Cited sources. Where a tool relies on a published standard or dataset, we link the reference so you can verify it yourself.
• Automated testing. Calculations are covered by an automated test suite that runs before every release, to catch regressions.
• Estimates, not advice. Every result is an estimate for general information. See our Disclaimer for what that means, especially for money and health decisions.

Privacy stance

The vast majority of Toolember tools run entirely in your browser. When you use the password generator, BMI calculator, QR code generator, or any of the testing tools, your input never leaves your device, nothing is sent to our servers.

The only exceptions are tools that fetch live external data (gold price, oil price charts), which request public market data via a proxy. No personal data is transmitted in those requests either.
