This is a static QR code: your details are encoded directly into the image. It works forever with no account, but it cannot be edited after printing and does not track scans.
What is a vCard QR code?
A vCard is the standard file format phones and email clients use for contacts. A vCard QR code packs that format into a scannable image: name, company, job title, phone, email, and website. Scan it and the phone offers to save the whole contact at once, far faster than reading a card and typing it in.
It uses the same QR technology as our plain QR code generator, just with a structured contact payload instead of a URL.

Static vs dynamic contact codes
The code here is static: your details are stored inside the image. That is ideal when your contact info is stable, it never expires and needs no account.
The catch is that a printed static code can never change. New job, new number, or you want to know how many people scanned your card? You would have to reprint every time. A dynamic QR code points to a link you control, so you can update your details anytime without reprinting and track scans. If your details change or you want analytics, dynamic is the better option.
Best practices for reliable scanning
- Keep fields minimal — fewer details means a lower-density, easier-to-scan code.
- Print at a decent size (at least 2 cm / 0.8 in wide on a card) with the white quiet zone intact.
- Use full formats — international phone numbers (+country code) and complete email addresses save cleanly on any phone.
- Test on a real phone before printing a batch of cards.
