CPS Test, Click Speed Test
Test your click speed with our free CPS test, choose from six timer modes (1 s to 60 s), race to 100 clicks, or measure your spacebar speed. Each result shows your clicks per second, total clicks, and a Kohi-style animal rank. Your personal best is saved locally so you can track improvement over time.

Kohi Click Test Rank Labels
We use the same animal-based rank scale popularised by the Kohi Minecraft server and adopted by major CPS sites. Each rank maps to a real CPS range so your score is directly comparable.
| Rank | CPS Range | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Sloth | 0–1.9 | Just getting started |
| Turtle | 2–3.9 | Slower than average |
| Mouse | 4–4.9 | Below average |
| Panda | 5–5.9 | Average clicking speed |
| Buffalo | 6–6.9 | Above average |
| Rabbit | 7–7.9 | Good, casual gamer range |
| Wolf | 8–9.9 | Fast, competitive PvP territory |
| Tiger | 10–11.9 | Very fast, jitter-click level |
| Cheetah | 12–13.9 | Elite, butterfly-click speed |
| Octopus | 14+ | World-class, drag or extreme butterfly |
How to Improve Your Click Speed
Choose the Right Technique
Regular clicking: 5–7 CPS. Jitter clicking (tense your forearm to vibrate): 10–14 CPS. Butterfly clicking (two fingers alternating): 15–25 CPS. Each technique has trade-offs in stamina and server acceptance.
Optimise Your Mouse
A mouse with low actuation force and short button travel registers clicks faster. Gaming mice (Razer, Logitech G series, SteelSeries) are built for rapid inputs. Heavier office mice add latency between clicks.
Hand and Wrist Position
Keep your wrist relaxed and hover your fingertip over the button, don't rest full finger weight on it. A claw or fingertip grip shortens travel distance and increases click rate.
Track Progress with PB
Use the 10 s test as your daily benchmark, it balances burst speed with stamina. Your personal best is stored in the browser so you can see improvement session over session without creating an account.
Best CPS for Minecraft PvP
CPS requirements differ by game mode and server version. The table below shows what competitive players actually need:
| Game Mode | Recommended CPS | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Hypixel BedWars | 6–8 CPS | Lenient hit reg, rhythm beats raw speed |
| Hypixel SkyWars | 7–10 CPS | Higher CPS helps in close sword fights |
| Java 1.8 PvP | 8–14 CPS | Hit detection rewards high CPS directly |
| Java 1.9+ PvP | 4–6 CPS | Attack cooldown makes CPS above 6 irrelevant |
| Bedrock Edition | Any | No cooldown; 8–12 CPS is comfortable |
| Crystal PvP (Java) | 12–20+ CPS | Fast placement cycles; drag clicking common |
Regular Clicking
5–7 CPS. Best for 1.9+ PvP where timing the cooldown matters more than volume. Sustainable for long sessions without wrist strain.
Jitter Clicking
10–14 CPS. Heavily used in 1.8 PvP. Tense your forearm to vibrate your finger rapidly. High CPS but tiring over long sessions.
Butterfly Clicking
15–25 CPS. Two fingers alternate on the same button. Very fast but banned on many servers. May trigger anti-cheat above the server's CPS cap.
