Test
A speed test is a tool that gives you a specific, checkable number, clicks per second, mouse switch reliability, or connection throughput, instead of asking you to judge performance by feel. These tools cover two different things: your input hardware (click speed, double-click failures, drag reliability) and your internet connection (download/upload speed, ping, and uptime). They are used by gamers checking a new mouse before a tournament, and by anyone troubleshooting a laggy connection or a mouse that has started misbehaving. A concrete example: someone whose cursor keeps dropping items mid-drag in a game runs the Mouse Drag Test to confirm it is a failing switch rather than a settings issue, before deciding whether to return it. Unlike guessing from feel, these tests give a specific number or a clear pass/fail result you can act on.

Frequently Asked Questions

My mouse feels wrong, which test should I run?▾
Run the Double Click Test if a single click sometimes registers as two. Run the Mouse Drag Test if a held button releases mid-drag, common with a worn switch or weak battery.
Does the Internet Speed Test measure the same thing as Network Monitor?▾
No. The Internet Speed Test gives a one-off snapshot of download, upload, and ping. Network Monitor runs continuously and logs drops, uptime, and latency over time.
