The cheapest dynamic QR code is the one you do not pay for. Toolember's free plan gives 10,000 of them.

Seven paid plans over 36 months

A monthly price is easy to compare and easy to misread. A dynamic QR code is something you keep for years, so this table multiplies it out and puts the code limit next to it.

US dollars, before tax, read from each vendor's own pricing page in November 2026 and multiplied by 36 months or 3 years. Not included: UQR, whose monthly and yearly prices did not reconcile on its page, and OpenQR, which prices in pounds (9 a month, 90 a year, 25 codes). Vendors that mention an annual discount without printing the price show "Not listed". Discounts and trials are ignored. Trademarks belong to their owners.

What the table says

  • QRThis is the cheapest paid plan here, by far. $29 once for unlimited codes is $121 less than Toolember Pro on yearly billing over three years. Its free plan is one dynamic code, so the one-time fee is how you get past that.
  • The code limit changes the price. QR Tiger Regular and Onelink.to Professional cost more per month and cap you at 12 codes and 10 links. At $5 a month, Toolember Pro and EasyQR Pro cost the same, with unlimited codes against 50.
  • Yearly billing saves real money where it is listed. $57 less on QR Tiger and $30 less on Toolember over three years.

When free is enough

Several of these tools give away the part most people need: an editable destination, unlimited scans and no expiry. Toolember gives 10,000 dynamic codes free and MetricQR lists unlimited. A paid plan adds things around that, not the redirect itself.

On Toolember, Pro adds a logo and colours on the code, PDF export, WiFi, vCard, email and SMS codes, password-protected and scheduled codes, bulk creation from CSV, a custom short link and a weekly scan report. If you need none of those, the free plan is the cheapest option, and the comparison of what free plans cap shows where that stops being true.

Start free, pay only if you outgrow it

Pro is $5 a month or $50 a year. Free needs no account.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cheapest paid dynamic QR code plan?▾
QRThis charges a one-time $29 for unlimited codes with no renewal fee, per its own page in November 2026, which makes it the cheapest over three years by a wide margin. Toolember Pro is $50 a year and EasyQR Pro is $5 a month. Whether a paid plan is needed at all depends on how many codes you print.
Do I need to pay for a dynamic QR code at all?▾
Often not. Toolember's free plan gives 10,000 dynamic codes with unlimited scans, and MetricQR lists unlimited free codes. A paid plan matters when you need a feature the free plan lacks, such as a logo on the code, PDF export, other code types, bulk creation or a weekly scan report.
Is yearly billing cheaper than monthly?▾
Where the vendor lists both, yes. QR Tiger's Regular plan is $7 a month or $65 a year, which is $252 versus $195 over three years. Toolember Pro is $5 a month or $50 a year, $180 versus $150. Some vendors say annual billing saves money but do not print the annual price, so those are left blank here.
Why is the code limit in the table?▾
Price per month hides the real cost. A $5 plan with 50 codes and a $5 plan with unlimited codes are not the same deal. The limit tells you when you will have to move up to the next tier.
