Figures are as of September 2026, read from each vendor's own pricing pages. "Not mentioned" means the vendor's public pricing/feature pages do not reference Huawei or AppGallery at all, not that the feature is confirmed absent from every plan. Check the vendor's site for current details. Trademarks belong to their owners.
The Huawei gap, specifically
A Huawei phone without Google Mobile Services reports itself as an ordinary Android device to most detection logic, so a generic "Android" rule sends it to a Play Store link it cannot open. Only a provider that checks for Huawei specifically (browser or OS signature, not just "Android") avoids that dead end. As of September 2026 that is Onelink.to and Toolember; the others either do not offer device routing on any plan (Uniqode, ME-QR) or gate it behind a higher tier without a Huawei case in their own documentation (QR Tiger).
One code, every platform, free
iPhone, iPad, Android, Huawei and desktop, routed from a single printed code.
For the four steps to set this up, see one QR code for iOS and Android. If you were relying on the Google service that used to do this for free, see what replaced Firebase Dynamic Links. Platform routing only: it does not open a screen inside an app that is already installed and it does not attribute installs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does "one QR code for app downloads" actually route?▾
A scanner's device decides where they land: iPhone and iPad to the App Store (or their own separate iPad listing, if you have one), Android to Google Play, a Huawei phone with no Google Play to AppGallery, and a laptop to your website. This is platform routing, not deferred deep linking: it opens the right store or page, it does not open a specific screen inside an app that is already installed, and it does not attribute installs.
Which providers actually route Huawei devices to AppGallery?▾
Onelink.to has a dedicated AppGallery field on its configuration screen. Toolember added the same routing on 2026-09-03. QR Tiger and Uniqode do not mention Huawei or AppGallery on their own pricing or feature pages as of September 2026; a Huawei scanner on those tools falls through to whatever the Android or fallback rule points at, which is usually a Play Store link that phone cannot open.
Is this free anywhere, or does app-download routing always cost money?▾
Free on Toolember (device and country routing is on the free plan) and on Onelink.to's free tier, which includes 3 links. QR Tiger sells device-based routing (it calls this geofencing) starting at its $16/month Advanced tier, per their pricing page. This is one of the few features where the cheaper tools are more generous than the one selling the most enterprise features.
Firebase Dynamic Links used to do this for free. What replaced it?▾
Nothing from Google, directly; FDL shut down 25 August 2025. Toolember and Onelink.to both cover the platform-routing half of what FDL did (send a scanner to the right store), with the same honest limit: neither does deferred deep linking or install attribution, which needs a dedicated tool like AppsFlyer OneLink or Branch if that is specifically what you need.
